Imran Khan to embark on 3-day Sindh tour

LAHORE .: After completing his campaign in South Punjab, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan will start touring interior Sindh from Saturday (today) to mobilise support, particularly in rural areas, for the upcoming parliamentary elections.
The three-day tour will commence with Khan spending the first day in Karachi to meet prominent businessmen of the Karachi Chamber of Commerce and address a youth convention at a hotel to present PTI’s policy for the general elections. The PTI chief will address seven public gathering in Karachi, said PTI Central Information Secretary Shafqat Mehmood, while speaking to The Express Tribune.
After a successful visit to South Punjab, it was decided to launch a campaign of engagement with the rural population of Sindh to mobilise them to understand the ‘vote for change’ ideology, on which PTI will contest the elections, Mehmood claimed.
On Sunday and Monday, Khan – along with the party’s central and Sindh chapter leadership – will visit Mirpurkhas, Dadu and other interior parts of the province to meet locals and convey his message for change. He will address public gatherings at several places and listen to the locals’ grievances.
Another party leader said on the condition of anonymity that Khan will also expose the wrongdoings of President Asif Ali Zardari in a bid to win the hearts of the dejected voters of the Pakistan Peoples Party in Sindh.
On December 26, Khan will pay a visit to his native town of Mianwali, Punjab. During that time, Khan will carry out a personalised, door-to-door campaign.
