New PTI tsunami to wash away all political rivals: Imran
Staff Report

LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan has said the new tsunami of youth would wash away all political parties in the next general election.

Addressing the Youth Convention in connection with the announcement of PTI’s youth policy on Sunday, Khan said PTI was the only party providing a chance to the youth to contest elections and that he only needed the support of the youth of the country, not big names.

Commenting on the people that have left the PTI, Khan said, “Big names leaving the party will not hurt us. PTI has never compromised on its vision and principles, that is our strength.”

Hinting at the Punjab government’s laptop scheme, Khan said politicians couldn’t buy the youth by distributing computers. He said a good leader must be fearless, selfless and honest. “A coward can never be a leader,” he said. The PTI chairman also called on the youth to fight for their future and utilise the “God-given” chance to bring a change.

According to the party’s youth policy, PTI would give 25 percent tickets to young members for the coming polls. “PTI will also finance their election campaign,” the policy stated. The party also plans to form a youth parliament to train young people for leadership. The party also intends to establish ‘National Youth Foundation’ – an autonomous institution solely working for the youth.
